And, since you probably won\u2019t be able to taste everything on display, we\u2019ve prepared a list of must-try Romanian wines &#8211; just one from each producer &#8211; so you can at least take an informed tour. <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yes, many producers have much more irresistible wines on offer\u2014in some cases, every wine at their stand is excellent &#8211; rounded, full of ripe orchard fruit and orange blossom notes, with a citrusy, relaxing finish.<\/span><\/li><li>At <a href=\"https:\/\/winesofromania.com\/wineries\/domeniul-bogdan\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><b>Domeniul Bogdan<\/b><\/span><\/a> you can discover an exceptional, atypical <b>Riesling P\u0103trar<\/b> with deep notes of candied fruit, juicy pears, and spices.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/winesofromania.com\/wineries\/crama-dematei\/\"><b>Crama DeMatei<\/b><\/a> has all internationally awarded wines, but the<b> Patima Feteasc\u0103 alb\u0103 2024<\/b>\u00a0caught our attention. Although it&#8217;s a new wine, it\u2019s intense and profound, resonant and long-lasting &#8211; a perfect example of wine from a dry year.<\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the same stand as Crama DeMatei, you\u2019ll also find <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/winesofromania.com\/wineries\/crama-olterra\/\"><b>Olterra <\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">wines, the newest winery from the<\/span><b> Vintruvian Estate<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> group, whose wines are still quite hard to find, so don\u2019t pass by without tasting a very typical and well-made <\/span><b>Negru de Dr\u0103g\u0103\u0219ani<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/winesofromania.com\/wineries\/gramofon-wine\/\"><b>Gramofon Wine<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, obviously, no further comment needed\u2014taste a <\/span><b>Feteasc\u0103 Neagr\u0103<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and talk to the people. Although their reds are sensational, we must guide you to <\/span><b>Fleur Royale<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a <\/span><b>Feteasc\u0103 Regal\u0103<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> made with wild yeasts, deep and atypical, and although it spent a year in oak barrels, the wood notes are very subtle. Many wines from the <\/span><b>Princeps<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> collection are unmissable, but our advice: first and foremost enjoy <\/span><b>Epiphanie<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a benchmark <\/span><b>Feteasc\u0103 Neagr\u0103<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, just as special in every edition.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We suggest you stop by a bit later at <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/winesofromania.com\/wineries\/jidvei\/\"><b>Jidvei<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; for a dessert &#8211; discover the <\/span><b>Grand Reserve Rhein Riesling<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> first presented at RO-Wine Cluj, a flawless <\/span><b>2009 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">wine with notes of raisins, linden and acacia honey, figs, all supported by the typical acidity of Transylvania.<\/span><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/winesofromania.com\/wineries\/serve-din-ceptura\/\"><b>SERVE <\/b><\/a>has many new offerings at their stand, but the big surprise is the new edition of <b>Cuv\u00e9e Amaury 2024<\/b>. It shouldn\u2019t be a surprise, because it\u2019s always a great wine, with great aging potential, but here we have a wine with all the signs of\u00a0 wine bound to evolve into something truly remarkable. It\u2019s <b>wow!<\/b><\/li><li>At <a href=\"https:\/\/winesofromania.com\/wineries\/navigo\/\"><b>Navigo<\/b><\/a>, be patient with <b>Siaj Merlot 2021<\/b>, a friendly wine that just needs a bit of time to open up &#8211; not much. Warm, relaxed (only 50% of the wine aged in oak for 8 months), ideal for company and long conversations.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/winesofromania.com\/wineries\/beciul-domnesc\/\"><b>Beciul Domnesc <\/b><\/a>has many new wines worth checking out; <b>Mirabilis Machina 2020<\/b> &#8211; a blend of <b>Cabernet Sauvignon<\/b> and <b>Feteasc\u0103 Neagr\u0103<\/b> &#8211; really caught our attention. It needs a bit of time in the glass to express itself, but it hides pleasant surprises. In any case, at the next stand, a memorable <b>XO<\/b> awaits &#8211; perfect before heading out or taking a break!<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/winesofromania.com\/wineries\/crama-girboiu\/\"><b>Crama G\u00e2rboiu <\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">launches the third edition of <\/span><b>Petite Helena<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, from the 2023 harvest &#8211; a wine produced only in favorable years (the 2019 and 2021 editions also exist), a serious blend of <\/span><b>\u0218arb\u0103<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Chardonnay<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/winesofromania.com\/wineries\/la-salina\/\"><b>Crama La Salina<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a wild and atypical <\/span><b>Feteasc\u0103 Neagr\u0103 Nidus 2019<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> awaits you, hesitating between vegetal and fruity notes, though it seems more settled and fruit-forward than it was at RO-Wine in fall 2024.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><b><\/b><\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/winesofromania.com\/wineries\/domaine-dumetrier\/\"><b>Domaine Dumetrier <\/b><\/a>awaits with unusual varieties and blends for Romanian vineyards, so almost every wine is a surprise. We stopped at the new edition of <b>Composition 2021<\/b>, a white blend of <b>Semillon<\/b> and <b>Sauvignon Blanc<\/b>\u2014lively like a fresh wine, expressive, cheerful, and full of inspiration. Since 2021, their wines are also certified organic, if that motivates you&#8230;<\/span><\/li><li>At <a href=\"https:\/\/winesofromania.com\/wineries\/liliac-the-wine-of-transylvania\/\"><b>Liliac<\/b><\/a>, from the land of white wines, we chose a <b>Feteasc\u0103 Regal\u0103 2024<\/b> with a wild air, extremely intense and concentrated\u2014somewhat atypical. Worth studying and appreciating!<\/li><li><b>Jazz<\/b> is the new name of <a href=\"https:\/\/winesofromania.com\/wineries\/domeniile-panciu\/\">Domeniile Panciu<\/a>. It\u2019s also the name of a <b>Chardonnay<\/b> sparkling wine produced using the traditional method, with 80 months of lees aging. It easily rivals Champagne equivalents in terms of finesse and elegance.<\/li><li><b>Vinea Apoldia Maior<\/b>, the commercial division under <b>USAMV Cluj Napoca<\/b>\u2019s umbrella, always surprises with \u201cauthor\u201d wines, atypical. If you found some smoked fat instead of Muscat&#8217;s \u201ccandy\u201d notes\u2014what would you say?<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/winesofromania.com\/wineries\/crama-rasova\/\"><b>Crama Rasova <\/b><\/a>has the same friendly vibe, with a touch of creativity and personal flair. They say their <b>Feteasc\u0103 Neagr\u0103<\/b> is <b>Imperfect<\/b>\u2014we challenge you to find a single flaw, however small, in the 2021 edition, where <b>R\u0103zvan Macici<\/b>\u2019s work is quite evident.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/winesofromania.com\/wineries\/crama-pandora\/\"><b>Crama Pandora<\/b><\/a> captures in its wines the typical acidity of Vrancea terroir\u2014and you\u2019ll find a serious <b>Sauvignon Blanc<\/b> that testifies to it.<\/li><li>At <a href=\"https:\/\/winesofromania.com\/wineries\/familia-darabont\/\"><b>Familia Darabont<\/b><\/a>, it\u2019s hard to choose a wine because each has its own story or unique personality. We stopped at <b>Projekt CH 2022<\/b>, a heartfelt <b>Chardonnay<\/b> aged for 10 months in oak barrels, with the wood notes superbly managed.<\/li><li><b>Murfatlar Vinul<\/b> presents many new wines. In the <b>Arezan<\/b> range, a surprising <b>Chardonnay<\/b> awaits\u2014unoaked but rich, full of ripe, juicy fruit, clean and bright.<\/li><li>Many surprising wines also at <a href=\"https:\/\/winesofromania.com\/wineries\/domeniile-samburesti\/\"><b>Viticola S\u00e2mbure\u0219ti<\/b><\/a>. If you need a wine to relax with after so many complex ones, confidently choose <b>Carpathia, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot 2021<\/b>\u2014a typical blend, with coffee, black cherry, summer cherry notes\u2014relaxed and juicy.<\/li><li>At Domeniile Dealu Mare, the pelin (wormwood wine) break is inevitable \u2013 ZZPelin.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/winesofromania.com\/wineries\/davino\/\">Davino<\/a>, as usual, offers top-quality red wines; perhaps that&#8217;s exactly why you shouldn\u2019t miss Domaine Ceptura Blanc, another benchmark of excellence.<\/li><li>On your way out (or before breaks), even though it\u2019s not wine, enjoy a real <b>horinc\u0103<\/b> or a <b>blueberry liqueur<\/b> from <b>La Horincie<\/b>.
