{"id":61793,"date":"2025-05-09T19:01:31","date_gmt":"2025-05-09T16:01:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.winesofromania.com\/?p=61793"},"modified":"2025-05-09T19:01:33","modified_gmt":"2025-05-09T16:01:33","slug":"vinarium-international-22nd-edition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.winesofromania.com\/en\/vinarium-international-22nd-edition\/","title":{"rendered":"VINARIUM International Wine Contest reaches 22nd edition, Scheduled May 22 &#8211; 25, 2025, in Ploie\u0219ti"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"61793\" class=\"elementor elementor-61793 elementor-61784\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-7ef3952 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"7ef3952\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-settings=\"{&quot;jet_parallax_layout_list&quot;:[]}\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-7a0e028\" data-id=\"7a0e028\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-627947f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"627947f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now in its 22nd year, the VINARIUM International Wine Contest is the most important international wine competition in Central and Southeastern Europe.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The contest is organized by the<\/span><b> VINARIUM Association<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (The Wine Institute), in partnership with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/adar.ro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>ADAR <\/b><\/a><b>\u2013 the Association of Authorized Wine Tasters of Romania<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and held under the patronage of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oiv.int\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>OIV<\/b><\/a><b> (International Organisation of Vine and Wine)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vinofed.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>VINOFED<\/b><\/a><b> (the World Federation of Major International Wine and Spirits Competitions).<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Since 2020, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fijev.org\/page\/1175528-la-federation-the-federation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>FIJEV<\/b><\/a><b> \u2013 the International Federation of Wine and Spirits Journalists and Writers \u2013<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has also joined as a partner.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Official observers attending in Ploie\u0219ti during the contest include:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mr. Manuel Capote (Spain), VINOFED Board Member<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mr. Richard Pfister (Switzerland), OIV Observer<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mrs. Janna Rijpma Meppeling (Netherlands), FIJEV Vice-President<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The contest is expected to receive over 1,300 entries (wines and wine-based spirits) from more than 26 countries.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Judging will be carried out by 8 panels, each composed of 5 judges \u2013 3 from abroad and 2 from Romania. Each panel is led by a Chairperson. So far, judges from 20 countries have confirmed their participation.  <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The jury consists of highly qualified professionals \u2013 oenologists, certified ADAR tasters, Masters of Wine, PhDs in oenology, and WSET diploma holders. Awards<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To help award-winning imported wines find new markets, VINARIUM and vinul.ro will organize a post-competition event that introduces these wines to Romanian importers.
