The DeMatei Winery<\/strong><\/span><\/a> once again achieved outstanding results for Romanian wine, earning the titles of <\/span>Romanian Winery of the Year<\/b>and <\/span>Romanian Wine of the Year for Patima Feteasc\u0103 Alb\u0103<\/b> at one of the world\u2019s most prestigious competitions \u2013 the <\/span>London Wine Competition 2025<\/i><\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

This distinction comes with an impressive achievement: six medals \u2013 gold, 95 points, and the title <\/span>Romanian Wine of the Year<\/b> for <\/span>Patima Feteasc\u0103 Alb\u0103 2024<\/b>; gold and 95 points for the <\/span>white blend of the Migal\u0103 range (2024 vintage)<\/b>; one silver medal; and three bronze medals. And the success doesn\u2019t stop there: the <\/span>Vintruvian Estates<\/b> group \u2013 which includes <\/span>DeMatei Winery<\/b>, <\/span>Olterra Winery<\/b>, <\/span>Histria Winery<\/b>, and <\/span>Caii de la Letea \u2013 Sarica Niculi\u021bel<\/b> \u2013 won a total of 10 out of the 19 medals awarded to Romania in this year\u2019s edition.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The title awarded in London comes from an impressive jury: 10 Masters of Wine, 5 Master Sommeliers, and 10 expert buyers representing a significant share of the UK wine trade.<\/span><\/p>

DeMatei Winery\u2019s performance in London follows a long string of titles and medals won over the past year. Just since the beginning of the year, the producer has earned three gold medals at <\/span>Mundus Vini<\/b>, and, thanks to impressive scores (ranging from 89 to 94 points!) from the <\/span>James Suckling<\/b> team, DeMatei became the <\/span>first Romanian winery selected for Great Wines World<\/b>, the traveling exhibition curated by the renowned critic.<\/span><\/p>

In 2024, among many other awards, DeMatei also received the <\/span>Best of Show<\/b> title at the <\/span>Winelovers Wine Awards<\/b> (with Prince Matei 2017), and the <\/span>Grand Gold Medal<\/b> at the <\/span>Concours Mondial de Bruxelles<\/b> for Patima Feteasc\u0103 Neagr\u0103 2020 \u2013 the same wine also being named <\/span>Best of Show<\/b> at Mundus Vini and included in the <\/span>Top 50 Best Wines<\/b> at S\u00e9lections Mondiales des Vins Canada.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
