The Ros\u00e9 Wine Session of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles<\/a>, one of the most prestigious and influential wine competitions in the world, will take place from March 28 to 30, 2025, in Constan\u021ba, part of the Dobrogea wine region, Romania.<\/span><\/p>

Maintaining the high standards of previous editions, this competition will be organized and the wines served with the same level of rigor. The tastings will be conducted blind, ensuring total anonymity of the samples, with the only identifying detail being the vintage year. The judging will be carried out by mixed panels of five or six jurors. To ensure that the CMB<\/a> medals remain a relevant and credible marketing tool for both the industry and consumers, the organizers have taken great care in selecting the invited judges. <\/span><\/p>

The international jury is not only asked to assign scores but also to provide personal tasting notes for each sample. These notes will later be analyzed using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create a qualitative profile of each participating wine – a world-first at this scale. According to the CMB<\/a> organizers, the decision to revolutionize the judging process stems from a desire to modernize wine evaluations and enhance the competition’s credibility among both consumers and producers. <\/span><\/p>

The tasting notes will be processed by Winespace, a specialized program designed to understand and interpret professional wine terminology and generate a “sensory and taste profile” to complement the traditional 100-point scoring system. The Concours Mondial de Bruxelles<\/a> is an internationally recognized benchmark in wine competitions. Its independence, rigorous standards, and strict tasting procedures provide consumers with confidence when selecting medal-winning wines. The competition follows OIV (International Organisation of Vine and Wine) regulations, ensuring that medals do not exceed 30% of the total number of wines entered. <\/span><\/p>

The judging panels consist of renowned experts, recognized globally for their ability to evaluate wines. These include buyers, distributors, winemakers, sommeliers, journalists, writers, critics, researchers, and industry representatives. <\/span><\/p>

Romania will be represented on the jury by Marina Samoil\u0103, Marinela Ardelean<\/a><\/strong>, Otilia Chiri\u021b\u0103, Diana Pavelescu, Sergiu Nedelea, Cosmin Popescu, Horia Hasna\u0219, Liviu Grigoric\u0103, R\u0103zvan Macici, Cosmin Tudoran, and C\u0103t\u0103lin P\u0103duraru.<\/span><\/p>

As part of the event, the judges will visit several wineries in Dobrogea, where they will taste local wines and regional gastronomy, creating an excellent promotion opportunity for the Dobrogea wine region and the city of Constan\u021ba.<\/span><\/p>
