Villa Vinea

Villa Vinèa, founded by Italian entrepreneur Heiner Oberrauch, is a winery in the Târnave region of Transylvania. Oberrauch, known for his success in leading the Oberalp/SALEWA group, discovered the area’s viticultural potential during business trips. The investment began in 2004 when the businessman acquired 32 hectares in the Târnave Mici Valley. The vineyards were replanted in two stages, in 2006 and 2010, and by 2011, the gravity-fed winery became operational. Villa Vinèa’s oenologist, Răzvan Niță, is supported by the Italian winemaker Celestino Lucin, who was named Winemaker of the Year in 2009 by Gambero Rosso magazine. The vineyard, located at altitudes of 330-350 meters, benefits from optimal southern exposure, mineral-rich soil, and a continental climate ideal for grape ripening. Villa Vinèa primarily produces white wines, typical of the Târnave region, but also high-quality red wines, such as Pinot Noir and Fetească Neagră.
