Prince Știrbey Winery, with a history spanning over three centuries, is closely linked to the Știrbey family, which has preserved the winemaking traditions of Drăgășani across generations and, together with her husband, Baron Jakob Kripp, Ileana Kripp, a descendant of the Știrbey family, revived the winery’s legacy after the communist regime confiscated it. Today, the winery produces high-quality wines, respecting traditional methods while benefiting from the innovative vision of German winemaker Oliver Bauer, who has collaborated with the winery for over two decades. The winery, restored to the original design conceived by Prince Barbu Știrbey, is a place of wine production and an oasis of peace and relaxation, where visitors are invited to discover wines with great aging potential. These wines, vinified from pure grape varieties, are successfully exported across Europe and are internationally recognized for their authenticity and the stories behind them, inherited from a princely family with an impressive history.
