Founded in 2011, La Salina is a winery located in the wine region of Transylvania, near the city of Turda, a place with a unique terroir, influenced by the salty microclimate of the area, giving the wines a special complexity. The winery exploits 42 hectares of vines planted on the hills surrounding the salt mine, which gives the wines a distinctive minerality. The wines produced at La Salina have won national and international acclaim. One of the most notable achievements is the Issa Chardonnay Barrique 2022, which was awarded the title of International White Wine Revelation at the prestigious Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2024, thus strengthening the reputation of the winery La Salina as a producer of top white wines and oenologist Ovidiu Maxim as perfect interpreter of terroir.
