Two decades ago, DAVINO brought wines of exceptional quality to the Romanian market, at a time when private investors in this field were rare. After several attempts in other areas, DAVINO developed its vineyards in Dealu Mare, where winemaker Bogdan Costăchescu identified plots with old vines, some over 50 years old. These vines created outstanding wines like Domaine Ceptura, Flamboyant, and Revelatio. Domaine Ceptura Rouge is made from carefully selected grapes from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Fetească Neagră parcels, with an average vine age of around 40 years. Each variety is vinified separately, followed by a double manual selection at the winery. DAVINO Winery manages 87 hectares of vineyards, using sustainable practices close to organic standards and limited production to ensure superior quality. Starting in 2021, the winery launched organic wines, aiming to become fully organic by 2030. A distinctive feature of DAVINO is Romanian oak barrels, with 90% of the oak from Romania.
