Cramele Recaș, located in the western part of Romania on the hills of Banat, is the country’s largest exporter of bottled wine. The region has a long winemaking tradition, an ideal terroir, fertile soils, and a favorable climate for vine cultivation. The winery’s success is due to natural conditions and the team’s passion, which contributed to its development. Internationally recognized winemakers Hartley Smithers and Nora Iriarte were included in The Drinks Business UK’s top 100 best winemakers worldwide in 2020. They create prestigious ranges such as La Stejari, Cuvée Überland, Solo Quinta, Selene, and Sole, each with its own identity. Cramele Recaș combines tradition with innovation, using modern technologies and sustainable practices. Recent eco-friendly measures include the installation of a photovoltaic power plant and expanding the water purification station. In addition, all the winery’s wines have obtained vegan certification, highlighting its commitment to ethical and sustainable products.
