Located in Sălaj county, Carastelec Sparkling Winery specializes in producing sparkling wines. Located on a grand cru slope, the winery benefits from a cool climate and clayey-crystalline soil, which are ideal for producing high-quality sparkling wines. Located in the "crystal island of Transylvania," this northwestern region offers a unique terroir that contributes to the freshness and finesse of the wines produced here.  Founded to create premium sparkling wines using the traditional method, Carastelec Sparkling Winery launched the Carassia range in 2017 with a minimum of 20 months of aging in a bottle. The Carassia range quickly gained recognition both nationally and internationally, winning four gold medals at the Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships 2024. Magnum sparkling wines are aged for a minimum of three years for non-vintage and five years for vintage wines, as appropriate Carassia 773 Magnum 2018, which includes Chardonnay aged in oak.
