The Miniș-Măderat vineyard, located at the foot of the Zărandului Mountains, 26 km from Arad, has a rich viticultural history and a terroir that combines the influences of the Mureș River with those of the mountains. This region stretches for 40 km and benefits from an ideal microclimate for growing grapes. The volcanic rocks and Mediterranean climate contribute to the production of full-bodied red wines. The Balla Géza winery covers 144 hectares—of which 124 hectares are its own vineyard—divided into four vineyards: Păuliș, Covăsânt, Ghioroc, and Cuvin. Red varieties make up 80% of the surface. White wines are produced from various varieties, including Mustoasa de Măderat and Chardonnay, using modern techniques in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness. The founder and oenologist of the winery, Balla Géza, is a doctor in enology, university lecturer, and expert taster, internationally recognized as the Winemaker of the Year in Hungary in 2018.
